Fixative, or Fixing Agents

Fixatives are used with wetting agents to lock down loose radiological, beryllium, asbestos or other harmful particulates. 

Fixatives permanently stabilize contamination under a hard-coated surface. This hard coated surface will allow handling and removal of contaminated equipment without risk to workers or the environment. The use of fixatives reduces the need for respiratory protection and increases worker productivity.
