Foaming Agents

    Foaming of contaminated pipes, ducts and glove boxes requires experience and application systems specifically developed for these purposes.
    T.E.A.M.'s experience at Mound, Battelle, Rocky Flats and Oak Ridge has increased our experience and ability to dispense foam in highly contaminated and complex systems.
    Foam is used to fix contamination inside ducts, pipes and other process equipment prior to size reduction. Foam is also used for blocking and bracing of equipment prior to shipping.
    The application of foam meets the requirements of NUREG 1602, which requires all packages be blocked and braced prior to shipment. Foam meets the Surface Contaminated Object waste acceptance criteria by rendering all surface inaccessible.
